Welcome to Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens I enjoyed a quick trip to this multi-level mansion turned art museum, that featured a variety of art was well as a beautiful garden area to enjoy. All photos from the day were taken by myself. Viewing the Gallery First, I looked at a collection of works by Melissa Beth Floyd : Now What. This collective was a blending of portraitures and caricature. This collection invoked a sense of humor in me while also being very relatable. I am a mother of four, it is no surprise that the two pieces that truly resonated with me were Suck it Up, Buttercup and The Good Life. With the use of colors, form, lines and shape the artist has created a humorous but also reflective pieces. Chaos not only exists in the subjects and scenarios they find themselves in but also in the brushstroke, which range from spontaneous to precise. The heavy influence of 50's-60's homelife advertisements with a modern input on life and motherhood was very refreshing. Using ...
